The theatre is committed to presenting an annual series of plays, performances and special events that in addition to entertaining will enlighten, inspire, and educate performers an audiences. CFRT seeks diversity in its artists, as well as its audiences.

The Richmond Community Theatre produces 3 mainstage productions every year, along with its Summer Children's Theatre presentations. The Theatre was converted from the remains of The Strand movie theater.
